Does the pdf file you want to read in Reader 2.0 have to be in the My Document folder on the internal memory. I have created My Document folders on both my SD & CF cards, but reader cannot find the pdf files. It does find them on the internal memory.
Hi. You need to delete the file "ignore_my_docs" in the SD and the CF Card. You can do that with the File Explorer from your PC. And then create a folder with the name "My Documents", with "s" at the end. :)
i don't think that adobe reader would just check the my documents folder if it does, just change where it says "Folder: My Documents" -to---> "Folder: All Folders" when u just open adobe. hope that helps

Thanks for the help. I did not see the "ignore_my_docs" on either of my cards. I was searching all my folders. I guess the issue was my own problem trying to be organized. I did not realize that you cannot place the pdf files in a sub folder under My Documents. Once I put them in that folder they were found.
Is this a common issue, not to use sub folders, how deep can you go with your path for most apps? That expained why when I used resco file explorer and launched the pdf file from there it would not load the file.
btw what is "GsGetFile.dll and File Dialogue Changer" a third party app?
Okay, now I'm at a loss. In the main memeory I placed a pdf file in the Books folder in the my documents folder and the pdf files shows up. so I figure Okay it needs to be Books so I create a folder named Books in the My Documents folder on my CF card thinking that the file would show up, wrong! No pdf file shows up, when I move it back to to the my documents folder it shows up. Go figure!
The file "ignore_my_docs" is a hidden file, so you must to set your file explorer to see hidden files. You can do that with the PC file explorer.
I think you have another problem, because I store my eBooks (*.pdf) under "My Documents\eBooks" in the CF card.
How deep can you go with the path for most application ? I find that most application can read files in folders under My Documents, but not more levels of subfolders.

when you utilized the "open" function from within acrobat ... it only look for surface folder ( 1 level deep )
so ... you can have your files anywhere ... as long as it is within the 1st folder.
\SD card\folder name --->>> ... 1st level .... OK
and not \SD card\folder name\folder name --->>> 2 levels...NOT OK
where you see the drop down box said "all folder" ... just click on that and navigate to your created folder ... ( 1st level folders only ) !! ... if all your files are in 1st level deep ... no need to select ... as it will list all your PDF as long as all files followed the 1st level only rule !!!
and if you are choosing the files from the explorer interface ... it can be as deep as you want it to be.

Do you know, why this doesn't function for deeper levels. It isn't very attractiv to store all files on the first level. For me, I can't keep track of it if there are tons of files or tons of first-level dirctories on my card. Isn't there a better solution? Or does M$ have a Problem
