Dude, I have to say yet another big thank you. zSms is evolving wonderful.
Sounds like 0.4.2 coming out real soon. Silly oversight on my part (I usually am wary of localized strings but I forgot to fix that one after getting the menu extension DLL working.

Any thoughts?
I no device name is shown in the "Device" combo box (Options panel) it means the device is not listed as a paired device in the registry. zSMS uses the Dial-Up Networking profile, but all paired BT devices should show up in the options panel. If you have a Pocket PC registry viewer you should be able to see the list of paired devices as subkeys in the following registry subfolder:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\De vice

zSMS 0.4.2 released

zSMS 0.4.2 is now available for Windows Mobile 5.0 (ARMV4I)

This is an update to the 0.4 release. The Outlook context menu entry should now properly launch zSMS on non-English versions of WM 5.0.

[This is only needed if you're using zSMS on a non-English version of Windows Mobile 5.0]

Everything works as stated.

Very nice work.

Will continue to look forward to future releases.

-Beav

BTW,
Any possibility of releasing the source code? Just curious.

Thank you.

As for releasing the source code, I don't intend to right now. Maybe down the road. For the curious-minded, zSMS is a VS2005 solution with 4 subprojects:
- zSMS.exe (the main executable, written in C#)
- zSMSHelper.dll (the BT sockets helper DLL, written in C++)
- zSMSMenu.dll (the menu extension COM DLL, written in C++ using ATL/COM)
- zSMSCab (the deployment CAB project)

Cool.

If this isn't a good place for suggestions let me know, but....

Was wondering if a "Sent Items" area could be possible to keep track of messages sent?

Definitely. This is in my to-do list, although it probably will be at least 2-3 weeks before this feature ends up in the release (I'll be out of the country for 10 days starting this Friday).

The newest version doesnt work anymore. I get a communication timeout when trying to send a sms. Anything I can do to fix this? The Outlook feature works fine now. :)

Are you trying it with Bluetooth off and letting zSMS activate/deactivate it on demand? I've had some strange behavior with this feature on my own setup. Regardless, try unchecking the "Manage Bluetooth" option in the Options panel. I'm suspecting this might be the culprit (it is making calls to the Bluetooth subsystem and I'm wondering if it's making the fragile MS BT stack act up).

I doubt it. This software is designed for WM5.0 and will probably not work on WM2003SE. I may have a WM2003 version eventually but, since I don't have a device to test it with (and the emulator isn't much help when dealing with Bluetooth communication...), don't hold your breath.

Congratulations, this software is coming better and better despite I have still trouble with my Samsung D600e.:approve:

With Version 0.42, the bluetooth connection opens automatically (PDU or Text mod), the message "Connection DUN with name_pda?" appears on the mobile phone, answer: yes.... But "Communication timeout" error on the PDA
No trouble closing the software in PDU mod. Have to reset the PDA after leaving the software in Text mod (?).
I tried to turned off the managed feature and did the bluetooth connection manualy but I obtain the same result.
What is the issue with the Samsung D600e?

See details of my configuration in my last post.

Thanks again.
