I am pleased to report that the version 0.6 worked on my Axim X51v. I have a RAZR V3i which I had previously paired. The set up form presented me with a list of ONLY the bluetooth devices I had paired, and not all the possible ports as some other apps do, and when I selected the activate BT option it actually did activate BT when I tried to send a message.
what are the chances of getting compatability with a widcomm stack?
Right now, slim. I haven't planned to install the "hacked" Widcomm stack on my Axim and, if that wasn't enough, I've been quite busy at work these past few weeks.
But otherwise, the function is too simple, I think. I can't do nothing else except sending SMS. It would be better if other management functions are added.
E.G Inbox/Outbox synchronization, messages backup and so on.
In fact I'm looking for a SMS/EMS management software for WM5 like SMS manager for WM2003. I had tried to use the SMS Manager 2.2 on my pda, but it can't connect to my cell.
Congrats to the author. Outstanding effort!
Works perfectly with my X51 mid and my Samsung D500.
Just what I was looking for.
I understand that your time is limited and there's other features that are of higher priority, but is it possible to syncronise the SMS inbox between a phone and an Axim? To me, sending SMS from my Axim without having to take my phone out of my pocket is great, but having to take the phone out of my pocket to read the incoming SMS detracts from that convenience. It's like being able to send an email to someone but getting the reply via snail mail. The inconvenience of one detracts from the convenience of the other.
Is syncing the SMS inboxes via bluetooth even possible? I used to be able to do it via infrared port on my palm zire.
What about us, who doesn't have or wants to have WM5??
Do you have us in mind? or are we outdated :D ??
I only have Axim X50v.. (sold my X51v because i don't think its a great ppc) But planning on buying HTC TyTN, which have XM5.. but its not sure, I'm buying the TyTN...
