Pocket Breeze doesn't list my skins

Hey all, I am trying to install some Pocket Breeze skins...

I am putting the whole folder for the skins in SBSH/PocketBreeze/skins/skinpackname

Then I go to settings -> general settings -> skin in PB, and the only available skin is "default." Am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure but try putting them in the "My Documents" folder. Let me know if that works. Someone else might come in with a more difinitive answer.

Hmmm.. sounds like you are doing it right... but, just to be sure... sorry if this is old news to you...

most 'skins' are really groups of multiple skins for individual programs. For instance, a vista skin pack might contain subdirectories called VistaWA, VistaPB, etc where the first subdirectory is for WisBar Advance and the second is for PocketBreeze. You need to make sure that you are dropping the PocketBreeze folder into your pocketbreeze directory.

Does that help any?

nah...I've got SBSHDeluxe_pb and SBSHDeluxeHorizontal_pb in Program Files/SBSH/PocketBreeze/skins, and nothing shows up in PB settings

can you show me where you downloaded the files? Maybe if we were looking at the same thing I could help more.

It is Juni's SBSH Deluxe skinpack...a quote from the readme file is:

(1) Copy the whole "SBSHDeluxe_pb" or "SBSHDeluxeHorizontal_pb" directory (or both of them) to

...\SBSH\PocketBreeze\skins\ on your device

(2) Select the "SBSHDeluxe_pb" or "SBSHDeluxeHorizontal_pb" skin inside the PocketBreeze settings

This is exactly what I did...and only "default" shows up

Well, since it is commercial, I can't get a copy of it legally... so... we're back to where we started.

The only other thing I might suggest is to check and make sure the full contents got copied. Sometimes when I'm dragging theme directories, XP tries to copy a thumbnail file that won't go to the Axim.. as a result, most of the directory doesn't get copied. You have to go in and select all on the contents of the directory and the past it onto the Ax.

The good news about it being a commercial skin is that you should be able to get some support from Juni on it.

Hi apb1215 :)

I'll be glad to try and help too and let's see what might be the cause for this issue for you :)

Can you post a few screenshots of a few folders that I will need? This will really save me lots of questions that I have and probably will help me locate the cause for this issue I believe B)

Can you post a screenshot of your folder: Program files\SBSH\PocketBreeze\ showing it's files content?

I actually wanted the screenshot of the folder PocketBreeze - so I will see which files are located inside this folder :)

But maybe we can verify what I'm looking for faster. I'm guessing that you have a registry editor installed, since it seems that you are using Resco explorer if I'm not mistaken.

Can you tell me the value of the "InstallPath" key inside the reg folder:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\today\items\ PocketBreeze

I don't know what device you have.
Make sure if you have a QVGA device you have the correct skin folder or if it's VGA make sure you have the correct one.

Also, I'll ask a stupid question.
Are there tons of image files inside those folders?
I've seen folder transfers get corrupted where the contents were lost.

Ahhhhh that was it, I checked and noticed it was SD Card/Program Files....I guess I must have installed PB to both my SD and my main memory accidentally at some point....it's working now, thanks!

This was what I suspected :) I'm glad to hear that this was the cause for the trouble! :approve:
