cLaunch vs iLaunch
From what I've seen both apps do the same thing. iLaunch seems to have better graphics, which is, I suppose, why you have to pay for it.
Anyhow, I'm just curious if anyone has used both and can tell me if one is better than the other.
Also, does it make any difference if I buy PocketBreeze and add iLauncher? I like the vertical tabs of PocketBreeze, but I wonder how that would work with iLauncher. Maybe I shouldn't get PB if I get iLauncher???
Thanks!
Rich

I don't know about everyone else but I have a few problems like memory leak and some minor bugs with the iLauncher battery meters when using iLauncher on my x51v. PocketBreeze on the other hand works great. I suggest you download the trial for both programs and use it for a week and then decide.

I have PocketBreeze but I actually like and use cLaunch.I guess it's because I started with cLaunch and got used to it.Hard for an old dog to change.

I use both PB & iLauncher together without any problems. I bought iLauncher because I wanted the meters and custom VGA icon support. iLauncher works very well within PB as a custom tab (both programs are made by the same company).

I've used cLaunch and am using iLauncher now. Both programs are highly customizable and work well for me. The main reason for the switch is because of VGA support. And iLauncher also provides meters so I got rid of TodaysInfo.

Can you get your title bar battery meter to work? It's buggy on my WM5. I can't get rid of the notification on my left soft key.

I have been using iLaunch and pocket breeze for a couple of years. I have no issues (memory leak or anything else), and sbsh has top-notch support.

That isn't a bug. iLauncher uses the system's notification feature in order to display the meter icon in the top bar. WM5 changes the left soft key to "Notification" whenever any notification is displayed.

I ended up trying both and liked iLauncher better, so I bought it. With the 30% discount they offer Axim owners it came to $6.96, which I think is a great deal. I suppose Resco and Pocket Plus might be a little better, but they're also $25, so they should be.
cLaunch was ok, but not only did it require me to put in all the icons myself, but there were no built-in meters like iLauncher has. iLauncher also has much nicer icons, and I could be wrong, but I couldn't figure out how to remove tabs I didn't want in cLauncher. iLauncher found all the icons and sorted them into 3 tabs, and I could easily add/remove tabs and apps.
cLaunch is great for a free app, but I'm very happy with iLauncher for just a few bux. In fact, I went ahead and bought PocketBreeze and ContactBreeze, spent a total of $19 after discounts and now I have a very nice setup.

How did you do that? I bought both and tried to add a custom tab, but I don't know what to enter in the "Plug-in to add" box.

For me, it does work but it doesn't look very nice. Icons are small and it sort of distorts the background a little.

Go into PB's settings under "Tabs Control Settings" in the drop-down box at top. Then click the "Add Custom" button and select iLauncher. I choose to set the loading method to "Static" to get best results.
