Obvious it's a non-real file as you have realized.
I guess that there must be an (bit)error in the FAT table.
The question is how much memory is really occupied.
I would deactivate the program that uses the 'ghost'file because a write to that big file will undoubtedly inflict on some real files.
I would be very causious and NOT try to erase the ghostfile with standard programs before I was assured the 'erase' would NOT inflict other files located in the 'occupied' memory.
I don't know of any ppc-tool that can help you out except backup, reset, restore and pray :-)
I would agree that there is a problem in the FAT table;
try using Opera to delete its cache (not sure if it can do this, look for Opera help on how to do this);
I'd guess this is associated with some app, you might be able to do something about it my deactivating all your plug-ins and apps that start automatically,
see if you can do anything with the built in file explorer to get rid of it or rename it;
try a soft reset and deativate plug-ins and apps, and see if you can do anything with the file;
lastly you can try to uninstall Opera and see if it gets rid of the file;
after that, I'm guessing you'll have to do a Hard Reset (which looses all your data).
That happened to me too. There was file on my storage card that showed up as 1.5GB (it really wasn't taking all that space though). I tried deleting it with several explorers without success. So what I did was, I copied all files on my storage card to my desktop except for that corrupted file, formatted the card and moved back the files. problem solved.
In your case since the file is in main memory, you could do a selective backup (PIM, email etc), hard reset and restore from backup if you cannot delete the file in any other way.

Yes, I tried to delete (whith total comander) "the thing" while Opera was uninstalled. I allso tried to delete the entire folder "cache4". In both cases I was told "Warning! Could not delete 1 file(s)". Other times I have been told that the file dosn't exist, or that it is in use and can't be deleted.
How ever, I am tired of this and I'm in the market for a good backup program...
