Categories sync in Outlook & PI

When I want to put an entry into a category in Outlook, I find that the categories I use in PI are not available. Outlook's Master Category List has only the standard "business", "competition" and such workaday words, instead of the more personal ones I prefer.

Though any category I assign to a specific entry in PI does stay attached to that entry when it reaches Outlook.

I have looked in the PI forum and have RTFM but there's nothing I can spot.

I suppose I could manually edit the Outlook Master Category list, but that would take almost as long as writing this question. Is there something else I can do, to make the PI categories available for picking in Outlook?

Hi Steve - Sorry, I meant that I "Read The Flaming Manual" without success.

I've now tried manually entering my social butterfly categories in the Outlook Master List, in place of Microsoft's "How to Succeed in Business" buzzwords.

Having read your several posts, though, I don't expect the PIM entries to stay properly categorised for long. Thanks for answering, though

Well, at least I know others have the same problem as I. But I have more problems with Outlook than that, and am switching back to Act! CRM software.
