Backlit - reduce intensity

Does anybody know if there the possibility of lowering the light intensity of the X50V ?
I use it often to read, using the Ms Reader, and at night the light intensity is very high, I would be very happy if I could reduce it further than the last tick.
Is there any utility that can help me, or some FAQ / link where it is explained ?
While I am here, is there a way of changing the backgroud / foreground of MS Reader, like with MobiPocket ? I find black on white very fastidious.

Thanks in advance.

Bruno

I would like to go lower than that. I am at the last tick and it still is very bright, especially at night in the dark.

Don't know of any other way to reduce the backlight. You can try to turn off the backlight completely and see if that's too dark. :-P

Or a more mechanical way to achieve this would be to buy a colored plastic film, cut it to size, and then lay that over your PDA at night.

As Gigi said: the Contrast applet is the solution.

Impossible. However, nothing stops you from giving ConvertLIT a try and use a technically better/much more configurable e-book reader (for example Mobi) instead of MS Reader ;-)

Tried the contrast applet, it work excellently. Thanks everybody very much.
A pity for MS Reader, though. I do not want to start another thread, but even if I have Mobipocket, I keep going back to Reader. It has not got any feature to talk about, with respect to Mobi, but it is much much better to read. A pity its parameters are hewn in stone.
Thanks again.
