vbar works great for me and I like the bar icons that show how much mem and power remaining - they're simple but functional.

I just tried vbar and fooled around with the settings - it's nice but it doesn't have the home icon like mb. I use that all the time. am I missing it in vbar?

Both work on my X50V running WM2K3.2, but I prefer MB.
You really should try them both out, separately and sequentially of course, and see for yourself which you prefer.

same for me, i tried both but prefer MB for the home icon. I too use it all the time. the WLAN issue is easily bypassed by either assigning a button to 'OK' or hitting the enter key on the keyboard.

By "HOME" I assume you mean the "TODAY" screen. I have the Today screen mapped to an AXIM button, it's faster. Otherwise I tap... Start >> Today

Oh I forgot to add, you don't have to have the meter bar using VBAR, you can choose to use the more low-key down arrow symbol instead. Also you can use your own personal icon as well if you browse to one on your PDA.

I did mean the Today screen. In MB there is an icon that is on the toolbar that takes you there. No remapping required.

Was a fan of Magic Button, but seemed to wake up the Axim in the cradle with Batter y meter on, among other troubles. I liked the icons of running programs, which Vbar doesn't show unless you check.
Just found Wisbar Lite. Great little program for $4.95. If you've bought Wisbar Advance 2, then the license is good for Wisbar Lite also.
It's a good combination of vbar and magic button.

I've used MagicButton, VBar, and Spb Pocket Plus. Of those three, I preferred MagicButton. Links to all three on my View MyPDA .

In the hypothetical, say I were to add something like MB's home button. How would it look/behave.
I can't really add another button without overwriting the time/date, which i don't want to do anyways.
Tap and hold maybe on the battery/down arrow icon?
Suggestions are welcome.
(note: i didn't make vbar, but am responsible for the last two releases.)
