Not free, but I love Newsbreak from Ilium. It looks great - which I believe is hugely important with the small amount of screen real estate we work with on handhelds, updates quickly, has lots of nice preferences and custom settings, and works superbly well with the D-pad, so you almost never have to take the stylus out, and makes good use of the WM5 Soft Key menus.
pRSSReader is free... i dont like them because the font doesnt look good w/ my x50v. Newsbreak is nice, but you cant view image unless you are online.. so i thought that's stupid.
Currently using Egress to read RSS..... i also used iSilo to read other HTML site.

I use it because it can run on the today screen. Unlike the other RSS programs that claim "today plugin" functionality... PocketRSS ACTUALLY runs on the today screen.
It is its own separate program so whereas this function is awesome, its not required.
But you can literally read any/all RSS feeds directly on the today screen. What I do is have it setup as a tab in my pocketbreeze, so it doesn't take up any extra space.
I think the program is $5 and is great. I went through a lot of trial and error until I settled on this program. Trust me when I say that I do my homework before buying a PPC title.
I'm not saying Newsbreak isn't great, but all lack the full today screen plugin support.
(The other RSS programs may say "Today plugin support" but they usually only tell you how many New feeds are available and require you open the program to read them.)
Download "pRSSReader" and see what I mean. pRSSReader was what I was using the most before I settled down and got PocketRSS.
FeederReader reads all RSS feeds including those with Audio podcasts and Video podcasts. It can simultaneously lets you read new and blogs, while updating news feeds and downloading more podcasts. FeederReader has integrated file management, online OPML support and a host of other features (see http://www.feederreader.com/Features.html for a long list)
On the FeederReader Forums I help answer questions and receive comments and suggestions for future versions.
Let me know if you have any questions!

I definintely agree, dont forget that many popular rss feeds are loaded so you can pick and choose simply with a click instead of the sometimes difficult subscription process.:approve:
I use wm2003se and I too like newsbreak alot, with today screen plugins i am always worried about slow down or worse freeze ups. Neither have I experience with newsbreak which I have been using for along time.

Egress is by far the simplest to set up and use right away. It also looks good but may not be as customizable as the others. I've never had any problem with it and it's one of my favorite programs. Also the new version is blazing fast with updating.
