I think you've ID'd the solution, because during that split second, a box began to open declaring "updating fonts" before it closed. after that Avantgo wouldn't open at all. thanks

That's what gave me the clue.

something seems to abort the font setting up, something which our two systems share - like you I am running Pocket Informant and memaid but none of the other things.

I tried using MemMaid 1.5 with the new Avantgo 6.2 Beta and it said it does not recognize the new Avantgo version.
(might need to upgrade MemMaid to 1.6 but don't know if this will help other Avantgo functions)

I installed the beta on my x51v and it works fine. Much better viewing than the previous version. Little adjustments and it should be great.

I suggest those that have any issues, leave feedback at the Avantgo site. As this version is still in the public Beta stage, I'm sure they can use as much input as possible. To submit feedback, click on the link at the bottom of the page I linked and put Pocket PC Beta Feedback on the Subject Line.

I finally installed the new version of Avantgo. pretty nice. Need to play around w/ it more this weekend.

how i can have the stuff sync to storage card instead to RAM???

New, BETA, version works great on my X51v. I also installed it on my SD card. Better than old version with forced VGA.

Next app. I am waiting is Adobe Reader with VGA support.

Yeaaayy no more blurry fonts!

But what Avantgo GIVETH... Avantgo TAKETH away...

We FINALLY got our VGA aware app, but with this new version avantgo took away the Activesync conduit. You can no longer expect Activesync to sync your avantgo channels. Instead you have to MANUALLY sync the channels yourself, via the Avantgo client on the PPC.

This sux! I depended on my avantgo channels to be sync'd for me no matter what, just like my calander is. But now I have to remember to sync avantgo manually if I plan to read it later in the day.

Avantgo may have finally pushed me away...

And those of you that were having issues with the upgrade, try doing a soft reset, then uninstall avantgo. Then go to your PPC Windows directory and delete some left over avantgo files, eg...

avantgo.dll.0409.MUI
agcehdlr.dll
agclcmn.dll
agcmn.dll
aglang.dll
agsnet.dll
wgrs.dll

Then do the install of the Avantgo v6.2 again. This should help, as it did for me.

I installed the beta version of Avantgo and was very happy for a few days. However, now when I try to sync Avantgo seems to hang and just switch between the "Connection successful..." and "Sending data to the server." messages. Does anyone have an idea on how to correct this or should I just uninstall/reinstall? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Hi all,

I tried downloading the installer for both 6.0 and the 6.2 beta version tonight. The file download got to 520k or so on my desktop then it stopped and asked me to run it. I did this and nothing happened. I couldn't get anything to run. Based on my rig can I run the latest version of avantgo or not...?
