Arrow Onscreen keyboard, landcape mode - anyone know of a 3rd party app with better design?

Ok, so I like to use my Axim in landscape modes at times, but the onscreen keyboard is brutal (it takes up half the screen with lots of wasted space on the side). Did no one from Microsoft think that perhaps a different layout would be better (one that makes the keyboard shorter and wider). For example, the numbers and special characters could be moved to the sides, eliminating at least one row.

So, here's my question, does anyone know of a third-party software app out there that offers a better landscape keyboard mode. Or, for you programmers, wanna create one???

Ive always wondered why ms doesnt improve the kb in landscape. I think there are kbs out there that are better, you just have to do a lot of searching.
By the way, i bought a ir keyboard, and never looked for my own solution to landscape kbs.

I agree with your idea for the landscape kb.

I use SPB full screen keyboard, it costs a little but well worth the functionality and rapid entry with your thumbs. I had my doubts so downloaded their free trial first, I really took to it. Learning to 'thumb type' is much more faster than fiddling with the stylus to kit the default keyb.

I'd certainly recommend the trial, you won't be disappointed.

I have a Thinkoutside BT keyboard and love it (it's absolutely the best). I've tried the full screen keyboard, and it was okay, but that's not what I'm looking for. I just want something for the occasional tap typing (when browsing, etc.), and I have searched and searched. So far, I have found nothing (and I'm pretty good at googling, lol).

Got the ir, but i agree. Its just nicer having a real keyboard than any 3rd party input method.

I primarily use Tengo, but it takes up the same real estate as the built in keyboard.
