Is it ok to run pocketbreeze in wisbar...

at the same time?
I ahave installed wisbar advance 2, wisbar advance desktop, and pocketbreeze. It seems that it runs ok but the configuration is either messed up or I am just an idiot. It seems to only change the top portion? I have no clue.

I am slowly getting to the point of finding all the software I need. I am have looking through everyones MyPDA's (which one is the best for x51v's?) I still need help though, I've applied the fake server trick, installed TCPMP, Agile Messanger, and will soon be looking into PocketInformat. What other software is crucial to get? I don't care about it being free or not, I just want to get my axim x51v working at tip-top shape.

Thanks to anyone that can help a new user out.
-Matthew

I use both WA2 and PB at the same time without any problems, but I am running X50v on WM2003SE. What do you mean by the configuration is messed up?

Moved to Utilities.

Wisbar 2 visually changes the top portion of your screen along with the start menu. It also provides benefits to the system that you don’t see. Although I do not have WM5, I have been running Wisbar and Pocket Breeze together for a long time. It’s a very good combination.

Pocket Informant would be a good choice to get next. After that you should get something that cleans your PPC like Memmaid or SK Tools.

You might want to consider a good backup program, although the default backup utility works OK.

Take a look at Tengo – its much better then any of the default data entry programs on the Pocket PC. It is super easy to use and fast.

Consider some type of password protection like Pocket Secure. That way if someone swipes your Pocket PC, they will not be able to get at any sensitive data.

What I mean by with configuration is messed up is that is seems to be running a lot slower and just doesn't seem to look right. Do you have a suggestion for the best skin to use for the wisbar? Also how exactly do I install the skins/themes.
I guess mainly it just didn't look right to me, I want to have that "kick ass" looking today screen but am lost on what needs to be done to accomplish that.

I personally use WA2 only for the functions and not for the skinning abilities. I have found from experience that all tha fancy skins comes at the price of speed and memory. However, that is just me and I'm sure there are many who have gotten some nice looking screens while managing to maintain reasonable speed. Hopefully they can share their tricks in this thread.

Where do you have these utilities installed? Both would probably work faster if installed to internal memory.

How do I decide where to install it? I just run the executable and it automatically installs it for me.

When you install something on WM5, your Axim's screen will prompt you for install location. If you're not sure where you've installed it, uninstall it and try reinstalling it. Take a look at your screen to catch the prompt.

Oh alright, thanks.
Do you have any suggestions for other software to buy, and should I get both SK Tools and Memmaid?

I actually use both MemMaid and SKTools. MM is more user friendly, but SK seems more powerful and thorough. I'd highly recommend either one, but the best thing for you to do is to try out the demos. :)
