I have become fond of jotting down handwritten notes on my Axim X51v. However, when I sync these files with my desktop computer and open them with MS Word, my .pwi files become nothing but random lines. They read fine on the PPC. I did a Google search and the only thing I found was MS OneNotes but that coast $$$.

Use .txt format. It works on all pcs and poclet pcs. Use this free program to jot down notes in txt format. Its a free notepad just like the one on widows pcs.

Note: Downloads are at the bottom of page, and this IS x51 compatible.
