that is much harder to do than changing a registry entry I don't wanna beat down my flashrom with that, and there are much better ways to spend $30 than on a web browser.
Well, nobody is forcing you to buy it, are they.

Anyone know how to make the d-pad work for scrolling up and down on a page? It doesn't work on my x50v/WM2003SE. I have moved most of the files to my CF card using the changes to the ini file and I sometimes have to soft reset before I can run Opera. I keep getting a "not enough memory" error pop-up until I soft reset.

Yes, the latter problem is based on the finite driver memory of WM2003SE and can't be helped (the only solution is upgrading to WM5, which is not necessarily what you want). See the article I've written some days ago on exactly this problem for more info.
i have opera 8.6 (trial) on my X51v, and it works okay (better than PIE, at least).
i'm having problems with my palmone universal keyboard and the browser though. the space bar simply does not want to work with opera. it works just fine in any other application, but it just doesn't want to work with opera. all other keys are functional. any ideas as to why this is?
are there any other external keyboard users who experience the same problem?

Experienced the same with Pocket Controller. My StowAway Bluetooth keyboard, on the other hand, works perfectly.
What drivers are you using with your keyboard? I bet it's the same StowAway universal keyboard.
am i outta luck on this? i'm thinking of returning the palmone keyboard and buying a think outside keyboard off ebay for cheap or something if i can't find a fix of some sort.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I had to remove the software because I was getting corrupted dialog boxes in other programs after I would use Opera. Would have to do another soft reset after using Opera to get my dialog boxes back to normal. I may try to re-install the software to RAM and not modify the ini file, to see if that helps. Good thing they have a trial version!
(Please DO backup your PDA first!! I hope it'll work but I'm not sure.)
thanks for the suggestion. i tried that driver and it didn't work. it didn't recognize the keys correctly... the T key would type a capital C, the R key would type a lowercase V... weird stuff.
looks like i'll just have to return the palmone and buy a think outside.
The palmOne keyboards are, in general, the TO IR keyboard - just rebadged. This is why some TO generic drivers should work with them 0 if not 4.4, then, some older one.
Chekc out their (TO) forums on the driver compatibility - there're a lot of posts there.
I found a way to get the expired opera to work, jus simply change the date to something before 6/1,I discovered this when I had to hard reset and I restored backup(date was 7/1/2005) and I started up opera and it worked..

Now all you have to do is take into consideration if this action is ethically correct. :approve:
This theme has been taken into consideration many times before, and opinions point towards different directions. But I think everyone agrees when I say that developers should get paid for their products.
