Not needed on the axim... but AV is (and should be) on every PC it syncs with
Well, a quick glance at the time tells me that it's fast coming up to eighty-one hundred hours, which means, of course, that I've put my digital watch on upside-down again...
By the way, psionandy I love your quote. It's hilarious!!
cheers... it's from a long running radio show called "I'm sorry I haven't a clue"... every week the host signs off with something like that. I think I have a list of them somewhere for when i get bored with it.

AV and firewalls are to the PocketPC as baby on board signs are to cars.

the only virii created for the pocket pc have been proof of concept tests - that is, proving it can be done. there are currently no real virus threats.
its amusing one av company is charging for AV for the pocketpc, claiming to block vb script virii. but the thing is, vbs files will not run on the pocket pc anyway, there's no instance of the windows scripting host built in to the ppc like it is in windows. just keep your windows AV and Antispyware up to date, and i think you'll be fine.
firewalls and av software are, at this point, unnecessary added bulk to your device.
