Peculiar problem syncing with Outlook. Please help.

Hi There. I just got a new x51v for both personal GPS use, but also to sync with my work's Outlook (2000 sp3) calendar, and also Contacts and Tasks. Waddya know though, I've now been able to sync with the Outlook contacts and tasks but NOT with the calendar ! What the ?
The AS progress window the sync-ing process updating, and I get three check marks indicating, apparently, that the Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks have all sync-ed ok. But when I open the Calendar, I see nothing.

I'd love if anyone has any ideas on this. The Axim did take some setting up with the help of my work IT guy, so that the work's Sygate firewall would allow sync-ing.

The install CD that came with the Axim had Outlook 2002 on it, but I've not yet installed it, as my work's IT guy mentioned some potential communication bugs (but that was with Blackberrys, not Axims). So I could upgrade the software (at risk), but since the Contacts and Tasks sync-ed ok, I'm wondering if I'm missing something else.

Please lend a newbie a hand !

Hi All.
Well, after checking out this and other forums, I simply decided to upgrade the Outlook 2000 to the 2002 version that came on the install CD. Despite my workplace IT guy saying that they can't support 2002 over 2000 (why ?!), I was relieved to find that not only did the upgrade go smoothly, but also that I can now sync just fine with all the Outlook components : the calendar, tasks and contacts.
Phew.
I was guided only somewhat by a vague reference on a microsoft support site that people having syncing issues with 2000 should try 2002.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know, should you have similar issues.

I love the aximsite. Thanks to all the contributors. I'm learning heaps.

I've got exactly the same problem right now. Just managed to get bluetooth to sync at work and the calendar sync has not happened. I'm also running Outlook 2000 SP3 at work I have not updated to Outlook 2002 on the CD yet so I will try this tonight and hopefully this will work for me as well...

Works fine with Outlook 2003 that I have installed now. So if you can't sync calendars, the potential solution will be to upgrading away from Outlook 2000 SP3.
