I'm new to the Axim. I use a modem card when I travel to pick up email. When ActiveSync moves Word and Excel files between device and PC it converts the files. If an email directly obtained by the device while traveling has an attached Word of Excel file, no translation happens and I can't open it. Solutions?

Not offhand, since it's ActiveSync that performs the conversion. Unless you could request that you receive attachments in Pocket PC format and/or normal?

Then again, perhaps that isn't available either if ActiveSync isn't installed... I'm using Office XP and at least in Word I have the option to Save As... *.pwd and *.pws (or whatever the other Pocket Word filetype is).
