A program like BugMe that isn't BugMe?

Does anyone know of a program like BugMe that ISN'T BugMe???

I know that seems strange, but BugMe is just too well.. buggy... on my x51v. Using it in VGA mode makes the ink look great, but the menu buttons get a bit screwy. The erase function seems to be broken and the support is poor to non-existent.

The primary functionality I'm after is to be able to launch a program.. quickly get to a note screen where I can write in "ink" (being able to type text if I want would also be a welcome feature) and then easily set an alarm for the future. That alarm would launch the note that I just created to the screen of my Ax and play some sort of alarm sound.

I've tried all the "regulars". PhatPad's reminders aren't as good as I'd like (and the whole program seems overpriced to me). PocketInformant and Agenda Fusion are too cumbersome for what I'm after (I'm happy w/ the default PIM other than Notes). BugMe is Bug-gy.

Any ideas anyone?

Well, there was that Note thing that used to be on the front page. Let me see if I can find it.

Hey! That's it!

If you follow the developers link, you'll find they also have a version 2.3 that supports VGA. It isn't freeware, but the price is reasonable. I'm gonna play around with both these guys today and try to decide if the pay version is worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation!!

Ksong:

I had considered that app, but it doesn't have a reminder feature. At least, not that I recall.
