Drive OS Access Activity Busy LED Sim Light

Well, I've searched the forum and the net and have come up with zilch!

Anybody know of a tiny bit of software/plugin that can simulate a PC's hard drive access light?

I find that I sometimes get ahead of myself while going through my PPC and trying to launch certain apps, etc - meanwhile the PPC is actually still busy doing some other task, so I eventually get choked up on things and have to wait.

It would be nice to have a small, few pixel sized simulation of an L.E.D in the taskbar near the clock or something that would flash any time the PPC was busy - accessing the OS or the cards. And preferably, flash at the rate of activity, just like a PC's hard drive access/activity LED.

Ok, so that says it all.
Any input?
Greatly appreciated!

;)

Programmers here is a task for you. Sorry but I haven't seen anything like this too.

I am not sure, but I dont think the Windows CE Operating system was designed to allow this kind of interaction with the CPU and Flash Memory. Most computers do it through BIOS, not with any software.

I like to believe nothing is impossible, but maybe this is the reason such a thing is not already available.
Unless it IS out there somewhere, just not well known.

Hmmm.

Either way, thanks guys for the input.

My LifeDrive used to flash when accessing the microdive..

I'd be interested in having a similar utility as well..

I think it would be cooler to flash the LED on the power button, maybe alternate between amber and green when it's been used.

Oh definitely! That'd be cool. I'd gather that it shouldn't affect battery life that much either.

Oh come on! Now we're just teasing ourselves.
I never meant for the post to go this way - leaving the emptyness. :D
I really thought some sort of small utility would be out there.

Come on! Somebody out there that can handle this task!
