Hmmm, maybe it's just my combination of background software or something...but i tried turning off all today items and trying it right after a soft reset...every time turn the sound on and i click "done" in the sound menu, my X51v freezes. I can click done without the sound on and it's fine and goes back to the PocketGBA menu.

Maybe you can save me some trouble and send me your cfg file =) The only problem is that my sound is off by default, and the cfg isn't a strict text file

The sound might not be working because of the ROM you are using. Or have you already tried other ROMs?

Well, the sound isn't pretty yet, so it's okay if you never turn it on, believe me. Maybe mess with the sound after you already have the ROM loaded and running.

Not sure if you did it already, but for sound support, you need to also download the fmodce.dll file: http://www.sunbug.net./files/dist/fmodce.zip. Open the archive, copy the fmodce.dll from the wce4 folder into your pocketgba folder.

Tried the different fmodce.dll in your archive, but PocketGBA still crashed =/

This is great news - it's nice to know that people still are developing things for the 2700g.
EDIT: apparently save/load state doesn't work, but cartridge save does

From my experience, save states from previous versions of the emulator are not compatible, though I have only used versions that support the x50v's vga mode.
