Hi folks.
It's been only a while since the last PocketGBA update, but once again, there is a new version :)

I must say that trapung had done really gread job - he coded the intel2700g acceleration into the PocketGBA! All axim x50v/x51v owners HOORAY! :) Games now run faster, smoother, with less frameskip. The version is a beta only, but it's worth trying. While running, it will destruct your background, but don't mind that - once you turn it off, everything will be back to normal. So go and check it out, now :)

For those who don't want to bother with browsing trough the forum, I wrote a quick manual.


Instructions -

1) download the non-accelerated version 060526 (note that this version use gsgetfile.dll!) http://www.sunbug.net/files/down_auth.html?dummy=13039 ->

2) extract it to some folder (anywhere you want)

3) download the accelerated version beta-exe
http://www.sunbug.net/files/down_auth.html?dummy=13044

4) extract the zip and put "PocketGBA_2700g.exe" in folder with your non-accelerated version. There is no need to delete any files.

5) run the PocketGBA_2700g.exe

6) tap "Video" and then tap "Use 2700g accel." to turn it on.

7) load rom 'n' enjoy :)

P.S. I've PMed biohzrd, I think that this should be on 2700g enabled games list.

Nice! I wonder if they will make a Gameboy DS emulator?

I will be adding this to my collection. I have tons of roms that I play. Most GBA games are just updated Snes roms. Good to know.

it doesn't dl anything it jus goes to a screen with some weird characters,upload the file u used

It's only for Axim x50v and x51v. If you'll follow my instructions exactly, it will work.

yea I did that & I still get a screen with weird characters jus upload it,that would save us a lot of trouble.

Are you trying to DL on your axim, because if so, then that could be why it is bringing up the screen of characters. Try downloading on your computer.

problem w/that is I never really get a chance to go on the computer,sum1 else is always usin it,& when I do it gets things done very slowly. its from 1999. that's y I want the file uploaded here.makes things a lot easier.

too late I already did it on my pc,only thing is u can't see the in screen buttons or anything.

WOW!!! This version works great! I'm getting 30-40 FPS at 100% speed on games where previously I had around 8-15 FPS. BIG improvement! :approve:

how did u get it to work right I can't see the on screen buttons.

The onscreen buttons don't work, but you can map all the controls to hardware buttons and then you don't need them.

They are there and you can press/use them - it's just that they aren't visible.
