Free/cheap Web or FTP server for WM5?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a free (or cheap, <$10) web server that'll work well with WM5? There are a few older (~2001) apps I've come across, but I'm wondering (hoping?) if a more recent version might be better optimized for WM5. I'd consider FTP too, but HTTP is my first choice. Actually, SFTP would be my *first* choice, but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks!

A server for the Pocket PC? Now THAT is an interesting thought. Now that I think about it, my Axim is plugged in a lot, so I might not have to keep my PC on! Hmm..... Anyone confirm that it works?

I've never had any problems under WM5 with the excellent software by Cambridge Computer Corp. Links:

FTP: http://www.cam.com/vxftpsrv.html
HTTP: http://www.cam.com/vxweb.html

I certainly recommend them, theyre highly optimized (see my tests & benchmarks if interested).

Cambridge's software is just what I'm looking for, but their prices are high for my purposes. If this was for commercial use, I'd spend the cash, but it's for relatively infrequent personal use only, and I can't imagine using these servers often enough.

Kudos to them though for releasing a free for non-commercial use version of their vxUtil package!

Maybe this is brutally obvious, but what would be the benefit of having this?

Free..... I like that.

To Shloky:

Well... My computer currently is over heating at 110 degrees. Consider. Would I really like to keep it on 24/7 and have my CPU and Harddrive life dramatically reduced? I wouldn't. Solution. My Axim is plugged in all of the time anyway! When my computer is on, it can connect using ActiveSync. Othertimes, I use WiFi.

mmm... axims rent mant to be servers. they are ment to be terminals.you have to remeber that a server r/ws alot. flash memory can only be r/w to so many times... you are risking dystorying your main memory bank by making it a server. maybe if the app was installed to a microdirve or something....

Shloky: I mainly want this as a quick way to serve out files (i.e. music/video clips, etc.) to one or more devices which are able to connect to me via wi-fi.

Aximbigfan: I wouldn't use this as a database server or anything, just as a super simple http or ftp server. There's not a whole lot of writing going on, and that's what'll wear down your flash memory. But we're talking about years of usage, and not all that different than someone using their Axim as a voice recorder or checking email.
