Can anyone help me test a .jar (java) program on WM5 to see if it works on any JVM?

Hi all, i'm sorry if i sound too invasive since I'm new, but nice to meet you all! :)

i'm planning to bought a PPC for one main purpose, that is, to run this jar program:

http://www.sfu.ca/~hcheungd/HanziDict.jar (~500kbs) its a chinese handrecognition dictionary.

But I dont want to buy one if it doesnt work on a PPC, so can anyone help me test if any JVMs can run this .jar file on a PPC with WM5? I believe the program reqires Java 1.5 (j2SE?) normally when running on Windows

thanks ALOT , really :)

actually, i also wanted to see if this one would work too, but its 4 mbs, so i dont want ppl to take too much time getting it. But if you have time, i would really appreciate it if you can test if this one works too, thanks!:

I'll check it out. But even if it runs, most likely it'll be very slow.

Welcome to aximsite.. SFU grad myself. :)

thnx kazkin.

however, i read somewhere that, not ALL .jar apps can be ran. Most actually dont unless they were programmed for PPCs or mobile phones.

So, eventho my hopes of this program that i posted will not work, but i still want to see if its it 100% sure...
