psShutXP help

This is a great little utility. But can someone answer a question for me?

What is the difference between the brightness and the on-off button? It seems to me that they are doing exactly the same thing: they are both shutting the Dell off. and obviously I am missing something.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

I believe u are asking about the "Display Off" vs the "Shutdown".

The display allows you to still run applications while ur display isn't on. For example, when I cut the grass, I'll turn on MortPlayer (Music), Turn the display off, and throw the lock switch on and toss it in my pocket. I save battery because the display isn't on.

The shutdown will stop all applications and turn the PPC off.

Hope that helps.
