I just downloaded opera mobile and I already do not like it.
1. Opera won't work with tengo.
"Hi how are you" turns into
" hi how are you " everything has ext gfspaces and does withork screw ahowtlot DayGay .

Makes me mad. I used TenGo all day wwithout any problems.

2. Aximsite is distorted using opera. Can't reply.

Both important issues to me

I don't use Tengo. But I'm not experiencing other problems you've mentioned. Can you post a screenshot of how Aximsite gets disorted?

The other day I noticed that Opera also does not play well with the "Write Anywhere" mode of Calligrapher. When you use it it, it strings all wordstogetherasonelongword.

opera was throwing all kinds of junk in there. sometimes no spaces while others had extra spaces or extra characters.

I took the dive for netfront and it's a lot better. Tengo works perfect. Screen looks amazing. Opera was just all over the place. Worked when it wanted to.

Anyone still torn... Get netfront.

Netfront has some issues of its own - namely Java support, and some other bugs. I've yet to see problems with the WritePad SIP in Calligrapher and Opera, ditto Fitaly. However, as you've discovered, your mileage may vary.

Say, that reminds me - does this issue affect Tengo Free? I'm pondering DLing this just to see if I get a similar problem with Opera 8.6.

Edit: I just tried Tengo 2 with this, and can confirm the problem that player911 reported happens with Opera, but not with IE or other browsers. I suspect part of this is due to some sort of non-standard interface on the part of Opera, and how it treats entries in the address bar, especially given the dictionary-driven nature of Tengo; it appears to ALWAYS add the space after the word, or before the word, even when said option is turned off in Tengo. Whether this is due to Tengo having a conflict with Opera, or a 'feature' (read: bug) with Opera I've yet to figure out. Anyone willing to do a hard-reset to test this?

Edit #2: Interesting - it does this even with other text fields in Opera, a tendency which appeared in previous Opera Betas with the normal keyboard or other SIPs... but which was resolved in the final, except when it comes to Tengo. Also, I think I managed to crash Opera while changing Tengo settings. Ah, a new bug to report. I've never seen anything crash Opera before, at least not SIP-wise. Cool. :D

I think I may have found a replacement for Calligrapher, however, at least for now. Between this and Fitaly, I should be well-equipped, keyboard-wise.
