sensors are add-ons. Some motherboards have them stock... Now dell and the likes usually leave them out.

Anyone who would monitor temps would prolly have a custom built pc. Pc manufactures cut corners this way.

How do games run at 300 with the rest overclocked? What program does this?

Erm........ Pocket Hack Master? But ABF is right in saying that all processors have a sensor...... but not all motherboards take advantage of it.

your dell might not have one, but it probly does, if you have some sort of automatic fan on that p4, it has a fan sensor and cpu temp sensor.. end of story. which if im not mistaken, unless you have like, one of the very first first p4's you have some sort of cpu throttling, because everyone and intel knows, p4's are very hot.

And I didn't say my computer didn't have a sensor(well, i did, but I corrected my self)

I said that my MOTHERBOARD was not equipped to take advantage of it. I will say this again. Do you wish to have a screenshot?

all PCs have sensors. at least one. its right in with the processor, so that when it overheats, it will shut off, as a fail-safe.

me wants to know:
apps used to OC.
whats this about processor @ 300mhz and ram speeding up? clarify please.

Except some of the earlier Athlons, which could burst into flames if you took the heatsink off. :hide:
