The new MemMaid is being released soon!

Here is a chance to try the Beta version before the release.

New Features:
- Support for Landscape/Portrait screen layouts on the fly.
- Reclaim Memory. It frees up memory used by currently running programs, this can claim memory in terms of MB. (Results depends on the programs running)
- New Memory Cleaning for:

Dangling Notifications
NetFront
Opera
Virtual Mobile Earth cache
Window Media DRM
\Temp

- New Menus for fast access to all dialogs. (Matches with WM5 user interface).

So far the install seems to have gone well. The layout is very similar - but the switching between landscape and portrait works great.

I've been soft resetting a lot today (doing stupid stuff) so I don't have any memory to reclaim at ther moment... but all other functions seem good.

BTW - this is on a Cingular 8125.

Update is working well for me. A couple of questions:

If the Opera cache is moved (using instructions on Aximsite) will MemMaid still clear the cache?

It it possible to specify an alternate File Explorer? I use Resco Explorer.

Yes, it will clear the cache if it was moved using that tweak.

If you are referring to the Memory Usage feature, yes you can. From that dialog tap on the little gear on the top-right to bring the settings and choose to use a custom explorer. (Resco Explorer should be working fine).

I just purchased Memaid about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Is there/will there be an upgrade path?

Dear All,

This upgrade is free for all existing customers.
If you already have a registration key for MemMaid, it should work on this version as well.

A Quick question for those of you who tried MemMaid on WM5.
Do you use a theme different than the standard one?
If yes, can you post a screen shot of MemMaid?

I had a little trouble - though I think it was with my current version rather than the beta. I couldn't install the new one over the old one - and then couldn't uninstall the old one. Had to take desperate measures - removing the program folder and the registry entries. Anyway, it's all good now - the new navigation is great! though I haven't really had time to play much yet.
