I'm going to offer some info about how RSS works. It doesn't mean that anyone is wrong...some people like other news readers more than NewsBreak. We certainly understand. I just want to clear up some misconceptions.
The reason for "snippets" is that RSS news feeds contain a set amount of text. The source determines how much text is provided. When an RSS reader pulls a feed it only gets what the feed provides.
Some sites only provide you with a snippet. This is typically because they hope you will visit the actual site, see the ads, and thus support their site via ad revenue. Others provide you with the entire article including images.
As an example, PocketPC Thoughts used to do snippets but just announced that they are switching to full article + image format. They are testing this to see how much it impacts their ad revenue. If the impact is too great, they will have to go back to the other system.
AvantGo on the other hand, while it now supports RSS, doesn't get anymore than other readers from RSS feeds. However, sites that have specially prepared AvantGo content (which is how AvantGo has worked for years...although they added RSS as well recently), often contain the full story...hence the appearance of more data. In fact, RSS feeds pulled by AvantGo won't have any more data than provided to any other reader. They are as limited as the rest in that regard.
The only possible solution is caching the data. This means following the "Read More" link provided in the RSS Feed and actually downloading the entire web page and all associated images to your device (or at least all the text/menu headings/etcetc). In this way you COULD get the whole article on the go, but the problem here is that now you're storing all this on your device.
Long story short, the options are typically a limited news reader like AvantGo that only provides you certain sites but USUALLY provides longer articles, or a wide ranging and adaptable reader like NewsBreak that provides true RSS content, but limits you to the information provided by the source.
Hope that helps!
