Stay Signed onto AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, GTalk From Your Pda

I suggested this app to another member, and then decided to download it myself.

This program will allow you to stay signed onto the AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, GTalk networks while your pda is OFF!, with an auto-response when people try to send you an im. The ims that are sent to you while your pda is not on are sent to your email.
Requirements:
Pocket PC 2002, 2003 (se) or 2005
Some Type of Internet Connection To Sign On

Get Verichat here

EDIT: You were right, I was wrong. This isnt free. But it will allow you to stay signed onto these networks while your pda is off. They keep you online and messages sent to you while you arent acctually on your pda are emailed to you. My axim sat off with the lock on it and I got 10 this morning!

The license for VeriChat for Pocket PC for $24.95 includes the software and activation, and access to the VeriChat service for one year. The cost of renewing your VeriChat service for subsequent years is $19.95 per year.

What effect will it have on the battery when the PPC is turned off?

I just went to the website, and it says the following discussing the "always connected" feature:

"On a non-phone Pocket PC PDA, such as a iPAQ 4150 with its WiFi connection, you can use VeriChat whenever you have a network connection, or you can use it in always-on mode in conjunction with your mobile phone."

So, it won't keep you logged on to your IM service all the time unless you're using your PDA in conjuction with a mobile phone.

Me either...this is in the license agreement for the trial version:

"TERM: The free download entitles you to a 15 Day free trial use of this product. After 15 days, VeriChat for Pocket PC will stop working. You may purchase a license key thereafter to get full usage of this product. "

I connected with wifi, and then it let me stay on all night while the axim was off, till I signed off this morning.
