After a long pause of at least a year, the new, 4.0 version MultiIE, one of the best Pocket Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer Mobile) enhancers have been released.
Expect a thorough review and comparison to the alternate solutions (particularly the also brand new, 2.0 version of PIEPlus (
see review here))
really soon: either today or tomorrow morning (European time), depending on how many hours I manage to swim today.
A quick remark: while the new version is advertised as WM5-only, I've been successfully using it on my WM2003(SE) test PDA's too. The only problems I've encountered so far with WM2003(SE) is the lack of the quick on-screen corner buttons (the scroll mode and the full screen icons), the address bar shifting-down bug (not a big one) on WM2003SE VGA devices and
Options/ Options/ Button's not working. That is, you may safely check out the new version even if you "only" have a pre-WM5 Pocket PC. On my WM5 test devices, it's working just great in every respect.
The new version is available
here and costs $17.95. Although it's a major version jump,
the upgrade for existing 3.x customers is free.
