Info on Sharp ASK infrared connections?
I have a Sharp Wizard OZ-6500 and have been researching to discover if it is possible to use it's IR port to connect and transfer data to my Axim x30.

From what I can find (which is not much at all), the Wizard uses a different protocol from the IrDA protocol that the Axim's use. (The links for this assumption: here and here.) If I understood things correctly, the protocol's called Sharp ASK.

Any suggestions out there? I have data and contact info on the old PDA from 7 years ago, and would like it backed up to a newer device.

If it is the case that they are two separate protocols, is that a hardware limitation or a software limitation?
