Doesn't work for me. I got bunch of error messages one after another. Can You give me some clue how it should be installed and operated?
Thanks

Which one you tried?
The old one with Host/client
or the new one with only Host required? If this is the one. You might need .NET Compact Framework...as seen here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Everybody seems to be having a lot of problems implementing this ... but I think for the most part it has a lot to do with downloading various different packages. The one I've used (since day one) and not had any issues with so far is THIS one. I have never (and never will) download that big Power Toys package ... and honestly I have never tried the version that didn't require a client on the PPC. Seems to me to be a little shady anyway, since in most client/server topologies you really need a client application to connect to the server applicaiton.

My original post (Solsie did a nice job trying to help pull a simple to use package together) has the details for what I have done to get the VGA aware part running on my devices - currently Remote Display has worked like a charm on the following devices (obviously the QVGA devices didn't need the mui file):

iPaq h2215 - wm2003 (QVGA)
Axim x5 - wm2003 (QVGA)
Axim x50v - WM2003se (VGA)
Axim x51v - WM5 (VGA)
Cingular 8125 - WM5 (QVGA)

Landscape mode problems ... DO NOT SWITCH TO LANDSCAPE WHILE REMOTE DISPLAY IS RUNNING!! This will cause really funky issues. To use landscape instead of portrait quit RDC on the client PDA (you can leave the host running on the desktop), switch to landscape, start a new instance of the RDC client on the PDA and then connect to the host.

Hope that helps .. :approve:

Netsyd,
Great explanation. I have been using the Remote Disply since Solsie put a spotlight on the installation of the .mui file. (Talk about a duh moment) and haven't had a problem. Just couldn't figure out wha else to say to folks having problems. thanks again. With the exception of the speed issue, it works like a charm.:approve: :approve:

I wish I could say :) but so far...
There must be something I forgot about. NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed. Recommended Remote Control software installed and what I got?
First message: Error from receiving of screen
Second: Invalid Object type 79002
Third: Invalid Object type 81050
4th: see 2nd
5th: see 3rd.

I got it to work.
but.. I had to remove ATI windows drivers from my ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 graphic card. Seems like there is a software conflict so be aware guys. It's not a first time when ATI cause lots of problems on my PC.
