Are people CLICKING MORE due to alck of JAVA?

When browsing with a full fleged browser on a desktop/laptop you will get bubble descriptions (such as about any thread or post in enabled forums such as Aximsite) where you know short description about the subject and then if you really wish, you go to than post/thread and it gets more clicks. As such a thing is not there on mobile plateforms (including WM2003/SE/WM5 or any other mobile OS), many a times you get-in by just reading a title (you may have not clicked it on a full fleged browser as you know the details of the subject/topic via bubble) and sometimes learn that it is not concerned much to you.

I think this is just one such case for future JAVA enabling on all mobile platforms. It will save people's efforts and resources (time etc.).

What do you think?

Yes, but the little preview window you get when on the pc goes away too soon sometimes. It would be nice if it stayed up longer.

mmbika, it's not that easy. On a stylus-oriented GUI, it's not that easy to simulate the mouse cursor hovering over a link - even if the particular browser would support it (maybe Opera Mobile would - PIE hardly because of its subpar JavaScript engine.)

A good solution to the problem is upgardin he forum software so that individual users are able to configure their account to display the first few sentences in a static way next to each forum title when needed.

(BTW, just to carify: it's JavaScript, not Java. The two have nothing to do with each other.)

You mean like these. When i put my cursor over the link to this thread, i get a message. This is in IE6 sp2 on xp sp2. Other browsers/oses support it. But its more of a javascript than a java issue. The pocket pc doesnt have a cursor (can be added on), so microsoft left out the ability for javascript to handle most of these cursor scripts, since there isnt a cursor included with pocket pc.
