I'm actually curious what shows up on caller ID when you call a landline. And can you change what is displayed?

Why would anybody complain about being allowed to make free phone calls ?

I really like that it is now being controlled by a well known company.

I use Skype on my PC. Last night I made a Skype out call and got charged.

I've been using Skype for a long time now (almost 2 years) and there is no catch. No Malware, spyware, or spam from my regestered e-mail. I've probably loged over 11 hours of the free "skype out" calls since it was announced that calls in the US and to Canada will be free of charge. I have to agree with the post earlier that the only catch is that you might get hooked on skype as I am.

Well as long as your calling another skype user, it's free anywhere anytime.

Just wait till the day where all landline/mobile calls from skype are free.

my dad still doesn't trust skype,and now that i need to talk to someone from a foreign country,im running into problems
