Free Pocket PC Web browser Minimo adds geo-location support!

Later builds of Minimo, a Pocket PC port of desktop Web browser Mozilla / Firefox of which I've often reported in my blog (use the blog search engine to look up these articles), already contain GPS functionality enabled, just like MultiIE 4, the Pocket Internet Explorer plug-in (see tutorial of the latter here).

The tutorial, which is really worth reading, can be found here. It's really worth checking out if you like the geo-location support of MultiIE 4.

You can go to google and search for something like "Coffee" and it'll show you Coffee Houses near your locations via google maps while showing you maps and directions.

I never even knew about this issue and wow... thats freakin' sweet. I could really see LOTS of possiblities come about this.

Like a daily web-blog of places you went throughout the day or find where friends are real-time.

Yeah, but sometimes, its easier to type in 5 numbers than to fire up ya GPS receiver.

Assuming you know the right 5 numbers. When traveling, that isn't always the case and when you are home, you probably already know where you going, so it's not even worth firing up your PDA.
