Adobe Reader and WM5

Hi there!

I was looking for the Adobe Reader to put on my X51V (with WM5), problem is I don't find the right version

In fact, going on ADOBE site, here is what I found:

Pocket PC Version 2.0: Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003 with update 2
Pocket PC 2002: All models - ARM, X-Scale

Since the processor in the PDA is an X-scale I thought about downloading the second one, but it's not very recent!

Can anybody help me?

Thanks

Ben

Nope, that version isn't recent but it works just fine. I'm using a Dell Axim x51v and I've had no problems. Although, if screen resolution is a factor of matter for you, then you might consider using Tweaks2k2 or ForeHiRes to run the software in RealVGA mode. Both of the previously mentioned programs can be found via Google.

You should try PocketXpdf.

http://pocketxpdf.sourceforge.net/

It supports VGA and looks much better than Adobe reader, which is outdated. I haven't used it much, so I can not say anything about level of compatibility, but Xpdf (which is base for PocketXpdf) reads most of PDF files (in fact I havent found any problematic file).

My only complaint about PocketXPDF is that it can be a tad slow at times - and some files it won't open, which Adobe will. I use them both, but find Adobe's the fastest of the three, followed by PocketXPDF.. and trailed by ClearVue.
