Best File Explorer
Can someone tell me what is the best file explorer program out there? The one that comes with pc2002 doesn't give you any information on the folders. What I'm looking for is the details on the folders such as size.
TIA

I'll give the same two votes:
For freeware, it's hard to beat Total Commander.
Commercially, Resco File Explorer 2003 is top-of-the-line. It can browse .zip files, registry, and your network all from one application.

Resco File Explorer hands down.
Great file explorer with built-in support for Zip files, encryption as well as a registry editor.

All the recommendations are good. Personally, I use DExplorer by Dan East. Have used it since start of the year and love what it can do. Has the best aspects of a good file explorer plus can do zip, registry, etc...

I used DEXplor too but when Resco Explorer 2003 came out with registry and ZIP support I switched. Resco Explorer 2003 is much much faster than DEXplor. For now the only advantage DEXplor really has is the plugin support. However seeing their web site stagnant for months, that advantage is not worth too much.

I am during my trial period with Resco 2003. It is impressive and I will purchase after the trial period is over.

Yes it does... but once Resco File Explorer had registry and ZIP support it tilted the scales in its favor because of the speed and better implementation of the registry explorer and the ZIP file management.

Has anybody tried Dexplor with WM 2003? I hope it works because it doesn't appear that Dexplor is planning a 2003 update anytime soon.
