I was having so many problems with AvantGo, I stopped using it and uninstalled it from my Axim. It would work one day and then not work the next. I got tired of fighting with it, so I now use a RSS reader which works great.

ya it works decently on my x51. i use the mapquest maps alll the time. you just have to remember to sync after adding the maps online, or your new maps wont be there.

I tried so many different things with the MapQuest maps but they never show up.

That's the main reason I wanted to use the damn thing.

Any suggestions on getting it to work on firewall. I can sync on my x30H, get on the net with it all through the firewall but cant get avantgo to work. I selected to use my IE security setting which usually works with other programs but not with avango. I ran into this problem a year ago and deleted it then...thought I would give it another try but am getting frustrated with it...

iflysims,

I don't know how to get around the firewall (make sure windows explorer and activesync have FULL access in your firewall software), but it's actually better to use avantgo instead activesync to get avantgo to work. To do this, pull your x30 off the cradle and turn on wifi. Open avantgo, and click tools, sync. It will sync much faster than activesync, and it will also keep activesync moving faster. Then in activesync, disable synchronization of avantgo.

Avantgo does nothing on my x51v. It's the only program I've installed that I havent been able to work.

The latest version - direct download via PPC - works great for me.

I experienced the same thing. I bagged it and shipped it off to siberia for failure to cooperate.
