I recently change my x50v to a new x51v, install the programs that I found where compatible with wm5 and activesync 4.1, according to SPB their Finance software works with both wm5 and ActiveSync 4.1.

I use the program with some difficulties, even uninstall it and reintall several times, but worked, yesterday the problem arise again, and crash my activesync, so I uninstall it and reinstall it, didn't work, try everything, and the only way to perform a sync is without spb finance.

Everytime the sync starts fine, suddenly the Activesync version in the axim closes itself and the PC version shows, "No connection" and a red cross infront of the syncing circle, I can access all the files in the PPC but no sync.

I have an Axim x51v in spanish, ActiveSync 4.1 in spanish and tryed with SPB Finance 2.4 spanish and 2.5.1 English, and in both cases it crashes the sync.

HELP PLEASE! The last thing I did yesterday was uninistall everything related to the PPC in my PC and manually erase the folders that used to contain the software, today after college I'm going to reinstall everything again with the hope that it will work.

I want to avoid a Hard Reset.

I also had similar problems with SPB Finance at first. I suspect that Denis (an SPB representative) will drop into this thread before long. He was able to help me out.

Two things I might suggest you try:

-disable the passport password on your money file. SPB didn't seem to play nicely with that for me
-remove any old accounts that you might have in your MS Money file with zero balance. (I had some old accounts that I no longer used, but money still treated them as "open" and I think it might have confused the sync process)


When I was working w/ Denis and Victor from SPB in an effort to resolve my activesync problems, I performed the two changes above and installed the latest version of Finance and my problems went away. I'm not sure if the changes above even had any impact, but I thought I would mention them.
