This is a very nice program. Like weather programs, it gets it data via the internet which it loads very quickly.

A useful program to have, especially at this time of year.

There is no mention of this application on the Surviorsoft website. Is this for release to the general public or is it a canned beta for specific beta testers?

The licensing information for the application make no mention that it is beta or freely available at no charge.

Yeah, I have been involved in this Beta testing. My understanding was that this was not ready for release outside the group selected for the Beta testing.

Beta for testing. Not sure why they went with a "full" version number.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing about the numbering, Pocketbrain. I'm not sure why this wasn't a 0.x version. I think a moderator should remove this thread before too many people think this is a freeware program and download it.

I was not one of the Beta testing group, although I did ask to be added to it after they said that they had sufficient testers.

The information given in my post was a copy of an e-mail whcih I received from Cronos on August 13th.

I downloaded the WM 2003 SE .cab file and installed the program. I have also downloaded the User Manual.

I was not aware that the V1.1 was still a beta version. If I have misled anyone I sincerely apologise but it was quite unintentional. I assumed that the V1.1 was now available to everyone as freeware.

As bigbop has said, it is not mentioned on the Survivorsoft website.

Davrol, You might want to email them back and ask about that. My understanding from the Beta test was that testing was not done and they were not ready to release the software. I could be wrong, though. Or, they could just have decided to expand the 1.1 testing group and included you in it. Either way, my suggestion would be to contact them directly to determine whether they intended this to be widely released.

Hi everyone,

Yes that was only meant for the beta testers we opened the testing to. My apologies for not making that clear. For anyone else outside that group that might have dowloaded the application if you could send us your feedback we would certainly appreciate it.

The application has now been released and is available through Handango www.Handango.com.

Thank you again to all the beta testers for your help.
