Anyone get this to work? I tried to install the cab file on my Axim x51. However, clicking the "head icon" in the games folder does nothing. I read its a "port" or something. Does this have anything to do with my problem? What's a "port"?
What I'm saying is that it installed. But when I try to open it in the games folder it does nothing. It highlights but doesn't load up. The icon lookes like a "flat-top" man's head with "Wolfenstein 3D" at the bottom.
What DOS emulator are you using? I got wolfy to run under PDosBox2. More information can be found here.
Oooops! Please ignore my post. I just noticed you are running an X51v with WM5. PDosBox2 is only for 2003, 2002 devices. Sorry.
Oh phht! You need an emulator??? My god, I don't think it ever said that anywhere! That changes the whole story. I thought you just install the cab file and it works like any other software.
You can find Doom for PPC. I just seen that somewhere. They use the same engine, just use different .wad's.
I wonder if you could download PocketDoom and just put in the Wolfenstein wad. The opening screens would be that of Doom, but it would suffice. I have never tried doing this.
I did a google search and found a buttload of links. I would just do your homework and see what you come up with. I'm sure there is an actual port of this game that does not require an emulator.
@ rasmasyean Sorry about the mislead. I didn't realize Wolf3d had been ported to ppc. I got the original dos ver to run on my ax and wrongly assumed that's what you were referring to.
