After hard reset, back up files missing trusted certificate (Sprite)

I am running into a very strange situation and I am wondering if anyone has an answer to this:

After I had to hard reset my x51v: I am restoring my backed up files using SpriteBackup. I have done this many, many times before with my x51v and I have never had a problem at all.

Now all over sudden after I am done restoring my files (I have tried 10 different files, since I am backing up every night) I am getting this error message:

"The file "application" can not be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to re-installl or restore this file."

So, essentially I am not able to open any of my applications (all are stored on my SD card). Is there anything I can do in order to avoid having to re-install these?

If anyone has a remedy to this problem, I would very much appreciate any help!

Sorry about the long text and tehanks in advance :-)

I am having the same problem except I never done a restore. I can still open the files from the application (word for a .doc file) but I can't open them from the file manager or links in Pocket Informant.

Maybe you are having the same issue as me and it just coincided with your restore so you think that is when it happened? Wish I had an answer.

I'm pretty sure you are having a simple "the " mark is missing" problem caused by, for example, older Resco File Explorer versions ( http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ) or Opera Mobile ( see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ) .

Please see the two linked articles on fixing it.

So, you click an icon in Start menu, and are presented with this dialog box? The explanation seems to be simple: the storage card is renamed (see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ) - this is the most probable case. Read my article on fixing it.

If it doesn't help, let me know and I help further.
