I'm using the older version of Advantgo and have it loaded on my CF card. No problems. I like syncing it through Activesync. But I do a wireless sync in the morning when travelling, before heading to the airport. I like it, but I haven't tried other programs. It has lost a bit of functionality for me as US Airways has stopped using Virutally There as their reservation system. (Now if Useless Airways would get the wap site to work.)

With Avantgo in main memory and DSL it takes me about 1 minute to fill ur up. I don't know how long it will last though.

I used AvantGo --- the older version --- a lot for a while. It worked well and the news feeds I preferred --- such as the Guardian newspaper from the UK --- were long and detailed.

The later versions of AG seemed crazy. Bigger code, really unhappy when installed in the SD card, plastered with adverts and --- almost every day --- losing track of what I wanted downloaded. So almost every day I found I had nothing to read, and once a week or so I reinstalled it.

Maybe I'll try one of the other solutions mentioned in this thread.

pSSreader doesn't download the whole article; thus the need for something that does.

I've been using AvantGo on various Palm devices since the beginning. I'm now using the current build on my x51v with no issues whatsoever. Full VGA res too :)

Yeah, I wish they would fix that.

I have used Avantgo for some time - and use it currently on my x51v A012 every day.
In order to get the content to sync, I had to do it from within the PDA version once or twice, providing the password. Not sure why, but that worked!

The new version allows for install on a storage card. Works great on my x51v. :)

This is an old thread I started a while back but it is interesting to see the new comments. I might try loading it again into "main memory" and see how I go. The concept appeals to me.
