qMail Help

I am trying ot set up an e-mail account on Qmail and am having some difficulties.

It is an IMAP server, i have triple checked all of my addresses and my passwords and they are all fine. My IMAP server requires SSL, which I have checked off and the ports are correct. When I go to get the folder list, I get the message:

"Error occured while updating folder"

Any ideas?

Adam

Will thoroughly test the IMAP compliance & bugs of Qmail (too) in the near future.

Nemoj: This isn't for gmail, its for my university e-mail account, but I am sure that all my settings are correct (Same as I have on Outlook on my computer).

Menneisyys: Does qmail have some known imap bugs or is there a chance that I am leaving something out, or not doing something properly?

I can get the default inbox to pull off my IMAP inbox - but I was hoping that qmail would give me a little better functionality (such as pulling all of my folders and their contents onto my PDA)

I can also access my acct via POP, so I will try that when I get home from school to see if I have any better luck. Please feel free to pass along suggestions if someone has had success with an IMAP acct via qmail

Thanks again!

This is what I will scrutinize in 1-2 weeks when I have some free time.

Have you looked into this tutorial? Are you using the latest version, v2.9.26?

When I run qmail, I get a 'your mail folder is locked by WM_MyPDA. Continue?"

What does this mean?

Just ignore this message - it only means you didn't use Exit when you last exit Qmail.

I am having great difficulty setting up gmail account in qmail. WM5 messaging can access my gmail account fine, but qmail gives this problem:

Error occurred while PASS command.
Received an error response.
ERR [AUTH] Username and Password do not match

What should be in the follwoing fields?

User information: name - my name
User information: address - testuser@gmail.com
Incoming: username - testuser
Incoming: password - *****
INcoming mail: port 995 SSL

These settings seem to be fine, so why does the error occur?
