I am an amature real estate investor. I need an application to record the details of houses, townhouses, apartments and other types of estates that I have seen or plan to see. The details to be recorded are: street address, suburb, date inspected, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, garage (whether single or double), built area, land dimensions and area of block, asking price, mode of sale (auction/private sale), auction date/sale date, winning bid/purchase price etc. It would be nice if I can use it to search or analyse data.
Can anybody recommend a good program for such purpose?

You might seriously look at PlanMaker unless the WM-provided version of Excel suffices for your purposes since you likely already possess the basic knowledge of Excel and it does not read as if you do have much experience with databases.

Download a free trial of something like ListPro and see if it meets your needs. Otherwise it shouldn't be too difficult to do something in Excel.
Thank you for the suggestion. I have bought Listpro but I prefer some application with which I can search and analyse and I suppose I won't be able to do that with Listpro.
How do you compare these 2 programs? Which is better in terms of functionalities? Thank you in advance for your assistence.
Scl,
From my experience, both are similar in functionality (they provide the ability to create your own databases, with searching, sorting and filtering capabilities. They both also provide a way to create your own forms to view the data in your database set, although the last I heard, HanDBase users were having issues with the form builder for Windows Mobile).
I personally use SprintDB Pro - it is more programmatic, but I don't mind that, and I like the flexibility. However, HanDBase has the advantage that its databases can be used on both Pocket PCs and Palms, if you need that.
I'd agree that both of these are solid and effective programs. I've used - and liked - both. I think it largely comes down to personal preference and comfort level with their forms design and other DB building pieces ...
