Mad Go Back?

I want to know if there's a way to set the ROM back to A02 from A03.

As far as I know, it is not possible to go back. But someone else might be able to tell you for sure.

Just flash the A02 over the A03...

Why would you want to go back though? A02 has some issues which is why A03 came out so quickly. You could go back to A00 if Dell ever released it....

Ever since A03 I've had wierd issues. A couple of freeze ups, activesync buggering up on me and other stuff. Stuff I never had happen with A02. On top of that, if just seems slower since A03.

The upgrade went smoothly, everything said it was successful, but in the end, A03 ain't that great.

Wow, thats the opposite of most people, but you never know... I'm sure you can tell better than we can about the stability of your unit. So go ahead and reflash with A02 and you'll be back there. Don't forget to apply some patchs to A02 such as the Palm beaming in case you want that functionality. Remember though that A03 fixed some HUGE problems with Pocket IE on the Axim. But if you don't need that, A02 will be fine.

Don't know if you have the A02 ROM update, but here is the download just in case you don't have it.

Hmm

I just tried flashing it to A02 and it's a no-go. It says I already have it installed and don't need to install it again.

Thanks anyway.

Guess I'll just let my Ax get dusty till a new ROM comes out. If one comes out.

What's the word on PPC 2003?

Thats too bad... I had never tired it, but I guess it checks to see if a later version is already installed. Damn programmers... Oh well, at least we now know it can't be done.
