Jittery video playback with TCPMP 0.72RC1

Man, certain videos are extremely jittery. Namely high rez (640x360 or 640x480) Xvid movies. I dunno why, but it's like the PDA is struggling to keep up. I'll be watching and the little Windows loading circle will come on the screen, do something, and then the video will keep playing. It's not the audio that's lagging, either -- in fact, the audio usually is slightly ahead of the video.

Nothing is running in the background and this happens even when the cpu is at 624MHz. Divx files play just fine... it's these high-quality Xvid files.

Is there a better format I can convert them to without losing quality? Or perhaps something I can do to fix this jittery playback?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's all better with version 0.66. I haven't tried 0.70 or 0.71.

EDIT2: Nevermind again... it apparently IS the audio. Without audio, the videos run perfectly smooth. Once I enable the AAC audio, the jittering is back.
