On my unit I really don't think psshutXP us a full system off. When you do it with the switch it turns on to a soft reset. psshutXP just looks to suspend to me. Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere?

It never is really OFF, but in suspend mode. Only taking out the battery it is off.

I like the fact that it is skinnable. If it wasn't, I'd have to get rid of it because it does not go with the skin I'm using!

I thought the selectable hold power button for 5 seconds was a true power off since it wakes up with a reboot.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't holding down the power button just turn the backlight off?

Are you using an alarm clock? What does it do holding down the OFF button for 5 secs? Does it wake you up or not?

If not. Then you're right.
If it does I am right:approve:

@safesax you're right

It's selectable for a backlight off or full power off in...

start->settings->system->power->power button

The notification warning on the "Full Power Off" says...

The Axim will fully power off. All unsaved data will be lost. In this state, the Alarm settings will be ineffective and ONLY the Power button can be used to wake up your Axim. Do you want to proceed?

I haven't tested but the warning is pretty clear. I've seen this described on other forums as a soft reset without the restart.
