Soti Pocket Controller is a good program to set things up with.

its been working fine with activesync, but cant figure out how to set up the wifi-tcp/ip connection.

no matter what host name\adress etc, it doesnt work with wireless.

and their site really lacks any faqs.

anyone got it working?

Couple of things you need to do, firstly on your Axim you need to make sure you allow inbound TCP/IP Connections.
Click on the SOTI icon and configure, tick the box on the general tab.

Next you will need to know the name of you axim device, start, settings, about.
Make a note of the name.

Next you need to go to your PC, open up SOTI, go to configure, create a new connection and give it a name e.g. DellWan, on the connection type switch that to TCP/IP and type in the name of the Axim.
Save it and then make it the default connection, start SOTI up and click on Start and it should work.

ah, big thanks. Ive already changed the device name so i can notice it in the server logs.

pinged that, and it worked. Then did what you said. Worked like a charm. I found the faq, and there no inbound control on the pro version it seems.

This software is very good for 35$, but im not getting the enterprise vers.

Im trying some stuff before i get it, and this one made the list.
